The State Surgeons Unit is comprised of an elite group of certified physicians, dentists, and top specialists in the United States dedicated to providing the highest quality of health care
and outstanding service to their patients.
How can I join SSU?
If you are a licensed medical practitioner in good standing with your state���s licensing board, you are eligible to apply. Learn how to

What's included in my membership?
As a member of the State Surgeons Unit, your membership includes:
- State Surgeons Unit numbered shield,
personalized photo IDcard and display wallet.
- Parking placard that identifies your
vehicle's affiliation at medical sites.
- The ability to network with other doctor���s, locally,
nationwide and within our Unit.
- Listing on our state-wide website that is accessible to the medical community and prospective patients.

What does the SSU expect from me?
The SSU expects our members to consistently strive to keep a strong sense of team spirit, values, ethics, and a dedication to providing the highest quality of care and outstanding
service to your patients.
Do I need to carry my shield and ID card?
It is suggested that members keep their shield and ID card with them at all times for identification purposes. These credentials may be useful in identifying yourself to law
enforcement during emergency situations, or when a licensed doctor is needed in a setting other than a private practice, the hospital, etc.
How does SSU work with law enforcement agencies?
SSU is currently working to strengthen our relationship with state and local law enforcement agencies.
SSU's medical and dental professionals represent every specialty and sub-specialty related to healthcare, both physical and mental. We provide these agencies with information about
our members' practices because it not only increases your patient base, but provides state and local authorities access to outstanding medical care. SSU prides itself on the quality
of its commitment to these agencies.
