Do I need to carry my shield and ID cards?
It is suggested that members keep their shield and ID cards with them at all times for identification purposes. These credentials may be useful in identifying yourself to law enforcement during emergency situations, or when a licensed doctor is needed in a setting other than a private practice, the hospital, etc.
How does SSU work with law enforcement agencies?
SSU is proud to be affiliated with the American Association of State Troopers (AAST). AAST is the only national association organized exclusively for state troopers, highway patrol officers, and state police officers. SSU’s medical and dental professionals represent every specialty and sub-specialty related to healthcare, both physical and mental. We provide these agencies with information about our members’ practices because it not only increases your patient base, but provides state and local authorities access to outstanding medical care. SSU prides itself on the quality of its commitment to these agencies.
